We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support core financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping ensure smooth payment and billing processes. The position offers the chance to contribute across several accounting functions while partnering with internal teams to keep transactions organized and reconciled.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and help ensure payments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage customer invoicing activities, track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
• Perform account reconciliations by reviewing financial records, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly.
• Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to maintain accurate and current transaction records.
• Assist with billing-related tasks, including preparing invoices, validating charges, and addressing payment questions.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and update financial data to support reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with internal departments to clarify transaction details and improve the efficiency of routine accounting processes.
