About This RoleWe are seeking a talented Test Engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a major US Air Force Program. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute component, subsystem, and system‑level tests, as well as other evaluation activities across the program, collaborating in a multi‑disciplined team and directly supporting our nation’s war fighters.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards.
- Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests.
- Support in‑house and field data collection activities, including setup and operation of data acquisition systems, accelerometers, strain gauges, high‑speed cameras, and other test instrumentation.
- Support test activities including product installation, integration, test, data acquisition and analysis.
- Perform preliminary “quick‑look” analysis and provide post‑test debriefs to engineering teams and customers.
- Coordinate with appropriate program, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills.
- 10–15% travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 9+ years of related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience using electrical/mechanical test instrumentation is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Government Security Clearance;
Active Secret clearance preferred. - Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills.
