About This Role

We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a major US Air Force Program. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of component, subsystem, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. A strong candidate will possess at least 2+ years related experience. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplined team environment and directly support our nation’s war fighters.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards
  • Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests
  • Support in-house and field data collection activities including setup and operation of data acquisition systems, accelerometers, strain gauges, high speed cameras, and other test instrumentation
  • Support test activities including product installation, integration, test, data acquisition and analysis
  • Perform preliminary “quick-look” analysis and provide post-test debriefs to engineering team and customers
  • Coordinate with appropriate program, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills
  • 10 - 15% Travel
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 9+ years related experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience using electrical/mechanical test instrumentation is a plus
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain Government Security Clearance;
    Active Secret clearance preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills
