Role Overview

Analog Devices is hiring a Principal Analog & Mixed‑Signal IC Design Engineer for the Instrumentation business unit, primarily targeting Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) applications. The role involves analysis, research, design, simulation, characterization, and release‑to‑production of high‑performance, power‑delivery & measurement integrated circuits. You will create high‑performance solutions used worldwide in production testing of advanced ICs such as AI processors, GPUs, high‑bandwidth memory, and other advanced semiconductors.

Responsibilities
  • Work within an analog/mixed‑signal design team based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Wilmington, MA, and other locations worldwide.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, CAD/EDA, etc.) to define, implement, and introduce products to customers.
  • Lead medium and high‑complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debugging, managing analog and digital teams.
  • Perform mixed‑mode IC top‑level/block design, transistor‑level circuit design, and simulation.
  • Use recommended design and verification techniques, tools, and flows to produce efficient designs that meet specifications.
  • Integrate blocks into larger mixed‑signal systems.
  • Support other development functions (layout, application, test) to ensure successful delivery and meeting all requirements.
  • Conduct hands‑on evaluation of ICs in the lab.
  • Travel to support product definition as needed.
Requirements
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience as an analog circuit designer.
  • Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed‑signal design, tools, and flows.
  • Design experience with amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, band‑gap reference circuits, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits.
  • Experience leading large mixed‑signal IC projects.
  • Good understanding of power supply control architectures.
  • Knowledge of BCD process technologies.
  • Understanding of digital IC design.
  • Knowledge of physical reliability issues such as latch‑up and HCI degradation.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to own top‑level subsystems and integration in a mixed‑signal environment.
  • Good level of English proficiency (written and spoken).
Benefits
  • Wage range: $148,500 to $222,750 (actual offer may vary based on location, experience, etc.).
