Senior Systems Engineer

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead the development of the next generation of technologies that enable new market applications.

You will provide technical leadership across a variety of disciplines including ozone, remote plasma sources, electronic control systems, electro-mechanical subsystems, signal acquisition, and data processing.

• Lead technical planning activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, milestone tracking, and status reporting.
• Work closely with Product Marketing and applications team to scope market requirements and customer needs.
• Create system level engineering design specifications and project scope documents.
• Develop and execute system integration, verification, and Design Verification Test (DVT) plans.
• Drive technical issue resolution, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Compliance Engineering.
• Manage technical project schedules, deliverables, resource planning, dependencies, and risk mitigation activities.
• Ensure projects are executed on time while meeting performance, quality, regulatory, and cost objectives.
• Prepare and present technical updates, program reviews, risk assessments, and executive-level communications to stakeholders.

Travel Requirements:
Up to 10 % of Travel is required. The majority of the work will be in Wilmington but 20%+ of the work will be in Methuen.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or systems engineering or similar with 5+ years of experience
• Ability to understand and manage tradeoffs between cost, performance, and schedules
• Track record of successful new product releases, with experience in the entire product development process.
• Experience with analog and digital design circuitry, proper test methodology, and systems integration.
• Experience creating and executing system integration, integrating electromechanical systems, and Design Verification Test (DVT) plans.
• Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
• Skilled with Failure Analysis (FMEA)
