. As a Behavior Technician at BCI, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through play‑based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Working as a Behavior Technician requires the following characteristics:
- A genuine desire to help children with autism and their families reach their goals.
- A steady supply of compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
- A willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.
BCI has been providing evidence‑based, contemporary ABA therapy for over 20 years to help children and young adults with autism find success.
Client Types- Clients aged 1.5 years – 18+, primarily between the ages of 2‑8, with autism and special needs in their homes or in one of our centers.
- Starting pay at $23/hr, increasing with experience.
- Eligible to earn (RBT) certification.
- If you work full‑time, you can earn up to 15 days of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment.
- If you work part‑time, you are eligible for sick leave.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.
- Part‑time schedule (M‑F 8:00 am‑12:00 pm and/or 3:00 pm‑7:00 pm) or full‑time as needed.
- Minimum age of 18 on or before the first day of employment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Availability for a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds; must be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
- Bonus: bilingual in English/Spanish; relevant academic background in psychology, education, special education, or a related field; prior childcare experience.
