Position: Technician I, Maintenance - 3rd shift

Base pay range: $21.78/hr - $35.79/hr

3rd shift Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

Maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. The equipment consists of automated high‑speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, and the skills needed include good mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving, and working at pace.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
  • Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
  • Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
  • Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
  • Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
  • Ability to perform duties outside and inside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold and wet, and/or humid conditions, etc.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • Technical college education or equivalent 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing‑related field preferred.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment.
  • Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods.
  • Be knowledgeable of your department's safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
  • You must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Competencies and Skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to work within temperature‑controlled environments (Heat/Cold).
  • Walk on slippery wet surfaces.
  • Climb small ladders or platforms.
  • Use small hand tools for the assembly of equipment.
  • Hand/eye coordination.
  • Lift 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 500 lbs.
  • Walk/stand 100% of the shift.
  • Employees must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods.
  • This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment
  • Stand on concrete.
  • Work alone.
  • Safety shoes as needed.
  • Insulated gloves as needed.
  • Safety knives as needed.
