We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Technician to support our growing additive manufacturing operation producing production-scale metal and polymer components for demanding industrial applications.
This role is responsible for leading inspection, metrology, calibration, testing, and quality documentation activities to ensure products consistently meet customer and internal requirements. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations, the Senior Quality Technician will help maintain measurement system integrity, support new product introductions, investigate quality issues, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Perform and lead dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished components.
Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, and customer standards.
Develop, validate, and maintain inspection programs, measurement methods, and quality records.
Support First Article Inspections (FAIs), process validations, and production release activities.
Analyze inspection data using SPC, Gage R&R, and other statistical tools to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Support nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
Manage calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant and accurate.
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop inspection plans, fixturing, go/no-go gauges, and quality control strategies.
Support incoming material inspection, mechanical testing, and material characterization.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to inspectors and junior quality technicians.
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
What will help you thrive in this role?5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Metrology, Inspection, or a related manufacturing quality role.
Experience in a precision manufacturing environment; additive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of dimensional inspection methods and tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience using metrology and inspection equipment, including advanced measurement technologies such as:
Keyence IM or similar optical comparators
Keyence VR or similar laser profilometers
Zeiss Atos or similar 3D scanners
Carbon and Oxygen analyzers such as LECO
Tensile testing systems
Metallographic sample preparation and analysis
Experience collecting, documenting, and analyzing quality data, including statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
Familiarity with FAI processes, process validation, and quality documentation.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
