Electrician

Position Type: Contract with potential to convert to full time

Pay: 25-34 per hour DOE perhaps flexible

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Electrician to join our client, a global pharmaceutical company. This role involves a variety of tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and repair electrical materials, equipment, and machinery based on blueprints, drawings, or other specifications.
• Inspect, identify, and repair defects in lighting, wiring, and equipment using tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Calculate electrical loads and feeds as needed.
• Dismantle and systematically replace or repair parts, returning equipment to operation.
• Oversee electrical tasks performed by department personnel.
• Inspect completed electrical work for quality, safety, and proper operation.
• Coordinate maintenance work with other departments and maintain accurate records.
• Perform preventative maintenance programs periodically.
• Respond to emergencies and provide on-call coverage in rotation.
• Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including waste vacuum maintenance if necessary.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) and trade school diploma.
• Experience: Four to six years of related experience (a combination of education and experience may be considered).

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and hear.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasional work in high places and exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, electrical shock risk, and vibration.
• Noise levels are usually moderate.
