Job Summary

Performs automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations, and TPMS procedures. Oil changes, general maintenance, repairs like filters, belts, state inspections, and brakes. Suspension repair and alignment, installing lift kits, shocks, struts, belts, and other related parts. Diagnosing driving concerns, check engine lights, ABS, and traction control lights would be preferred,d but not required. Based on your skill level, your abilities will be assessed for appropriate pay rates.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews repair order requests and makes a visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
  • Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services

    Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
  • Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
  • Performs a short road test to ensure proper installation
  • Reviews the service with the customer and the service advisor
  • Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA, and EPA regulations
Desired Qualifications
  • Required experience:
    • Fluent use of tire changers, wheel balancers, vehicle lifts, Tire Pressure Monitoring System equipment and some drivability diagnostic experience, lube requirements and specifications with a minimum of one year hands on experience in a shop.
    • Knowledge of Identifix and/or All-Data
Certifications
  • State inspection license (Not required but preferred)
