Position SummaryThe Business Development Agent (BDA) is the individual within the sales team who is responsible for creating, cultivating, and maintaining new business opportunities. They use a variety of methods including networking, cold calling, and social media to connect with referral partners and clients.
Essential Functions- Build and carry out strategic initiatives meant to bring new clients to the Bank.
- Meet with perspective new clients within the industry, such as but not limited to:
- Real Estate Agents
- Financial Planners
- Attorneys (Divorce Attorneys, Closing Attorneys, Elder Law)
- Title Agents
- Insurance Providers
- Banks / Credit Unions
- Property Managers
- Builders
- Human Resource Departments
- Relocation Companies
- Clients
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Stay abreast of industry changes.
- Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, SAR, CTR, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, EEO, and fair employment practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required.
- Experience working in the real estate and mortgage industry.
- Appropriate state licenses, if required.
- Enjoys meeting new people and building relationships.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Personable and able to display high levels of customer service.
- Organized and willing to follow a proven system.
- Self‑Motivated and shows initiative.
- Driven by results and metrics.
- How many appointments, events or seminars attended.
- Number of conversations.

This position doesn’t require a Mortgage Loan Officer License. This BDA will not take a loan application (1003) or discuss rates with any prospective consumer or industry participant. Applicant must be willing to complete the pre‑employment background process.
Physical DemandsIn terms of an 8‑hour workday, “occasional” equals 1% to 33%, “frequent” equals 34% to 66% and “continuous” equals 67% to 100%. However, some duties are performed monthly, annually or sporadically throughout the year and are essential functions.
