Assistant Superintendent

Clancy & Theys Construction Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate on‑site operations for major commercial construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• OSHA 30 and CPR certifications required.
• 3–8 years of experience as a lead carpenter, foreman, or assistant superintendent on large commercial projects.
• Associates degree (2‑year) or Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) preferred.
• Strong computer skills—proficiency in construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of construction business and excellent command of English.
• High level of interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multi‑tasking abilities; creativity and latitude expected.

• Support lead superintendent in field team leadership and communication among project members.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
• Maintain jobsite safety; enforce security and quality control programs.
• Participate in pre‑construction sessions to develop realistic schedules and budgets, and attend weekly progress meetings.
• Monitor and maintain QC/QA logs, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Schedule and direct daily construction activities to meet project plans, specifications, and codes.
• Identify and complete punch list items; keep site clean and organized.
