Sr. Grading Estimator​/Project Manager

** RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Manage numerous projects while simultaneously completing estimating duties, experienced in using Carlson Civil Software and/or Ag-Tek.

- Manage site superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are within budget and on time.

- Primary communicator with project owners and/or engineers.

- Attend pre-bid meetings with the owner, vendors, and subcontractors.

- Develop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off; crew composition; material and subcontractor pricing.

- Negotiate, secure and manage subcontracts.

- Compare bid pricing to historical data.

- Read, outline and communicate specifications and plans for superintendents and foremen.

- Review material submittals, and request approval.

- Develop and maintain project schedule. Prepare and keep the project progress and budget.

- Change order pricing and negotiations.

* QUALIFICATIONS:

** - 5 to 10 years' experience in site work and utility construction project management. A Construction Management or Civil Engineer degree is desirable.

- A record of successfully estimating and managing civil site and utility construction projects - Have a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition and production rates for all aspects of civil site and utility construction.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Project Standard scheduling software with the ability to adapt to a variety of computer applications.

- Cost accounting experience preferred.

- The ability to work with a team and independently to complete projects within stated deadlines.

- Communicate effectively.

- Follow and reinforce company safety policies.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Must be ambitious and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude.

- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

- Must have a valid driver's license.
