Brief Summary of WorkThe Management Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for one lecturer (non-tenure track) faculty position in Management beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach eight courses in management/OB/HR per academic year. The successful candidate will also participate in departmental and student activities, provide departmental and university service, and engage in community outreach to expand our visibility and student enrollment and participation in the program.
This position will be expected to maintain professional qualification through either professional engagement, research, or other means.
- A master's degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in management, organizational behavior, human resources, international management, or a closely related field.
- The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience teaching at a college/university level
- Preference given to candidates with 5+ years of applied/professional experience in management or leadership
- Preference given to candidates with a terminal degree
- Demonstrated experience teaching across multiple modalities
- Demonstrated interest in leading student-centered activities

Primary Function of Organizational UnitBusiness education within the AACSB-accredited Cameron School of Business focuses on the technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills students will need to lead this fundamental change in the business world. The CSB's Department of Management serves over 500 undergraduate majors and offers concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Business Development, Human Resource Management, Management & Leadership, and International Business. Faculty also teach in the Executive MBA, Online MBA, International MBA, and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate programs.
Faculty engage in impactful research, high-quality teaching, and community engagement that support the university's mission as a public institution serving southeastern North Carolina and beyond. Our programs emphasize applied learning, global engagement, and ethical leadership.
