Position Overview
Open Rank Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor, School of Nursing, University of North Carolina Wilmington. Beginning August 2026, this 9‑month, full‑time faculty role includes teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, student advising and mentoring, professional and community service, and ongoing program evaluation and improvement. Candidates must be able to demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by meeting credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and documentation.
QualificationsMinimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline with a baccalaureate or graduate degree in nursing at time of application. If ABD, degree must be conferred by August 1 2026.
- Demonstrated potential for high‑quality teaching and a sponsored research program.
- A clear direction for research and scholarly activity is required.
Preferred Education, Knowledge,
Skills & Experience:
- Teaching experience.
- A focused program of research (beginning or advanced) that complements existing school research.
- Clinical experience in community, mental health, adult health, and pediatrics.
- Experience with AI use in educational and professional settings.
Required Certifications or Licensure:
- Current RN license in NC or eligibility for licensure in NC.
