Scope of Position:
Provide electrical discipline support in the construction, installation, debug, and startup of equipment and automated systems, including hands‑on work through to turnover to operations at both domestic and international manufacturing sites. Majority of the time will be spent on the floor working on equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide direction during all aspects of equipment installation and conversion.
  • Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals without sacrificing safety, intellectual property, or quality, while adhering to all corporate, business unit and site guidelines.
  • Develop understanding of process and equipment functions in area of responsibility.
  • Analyze and correct equipment installation practices to improve efficiencies.
  • Interface with external system integrators and machine builders.
  • Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, directing engineering technicians and trades as necessary.
  • Review, “red‑line,” and modify existing documentation.
  • Procure and expedite materials needed to build or install new or modified equipment.
  • Assess condition and usability of existing equipment for fit and function with new installation plans.
  • Modify software programs used for process equipment control.
  • Understand use and set‑up of machine controls for system analog and digital I/O requirements, control sequence logic, fail‑safe states and recovery sequence digital and analog I/O.
  • Provide assistance in developing integrated industrial control systems for new manufacturing equipment and modification of existing equipment.
  • Re‑design electrical components to reduce installation cost, solve equipment interferences, and correct inadequate designs.
Required Education & Skills
  • BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience working with process and automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of power systems for 480

    VAC and below.
  • Ability to translate engineering solutions to requirements and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Works well with other disciplines to fully understand manufacturing system functionality and design requirements.
  • Ability to work hands‑on with the equipment using typical hand tools, instruments, and measurement/alignment devices.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to manage multiple work streams in a team environment.
  • Strong focus on job site safety and proactive safety approach.
  • Self‑starter and results oriented.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD®, AutoCAD Electrical, PLC and PC based systems, Beckhoff PLC / Motion Control, B&R PLC Control, A‑B PLC / Motion Control, automated equipment systems experience.
  • Knowledge of regulations applicable to area of expertise and works to ensure compliance.
  • Project management experience, including developing project scope, budgets and schedules.
  • Knowledge of the Optical Fiber manufacturing process.
  • PLC code development.
  • SCADA/HMI development, PID control theory knowledge, electro/mechanical technical understanding.

  • Salary range: $87,309.00 – $, dependent on geographic location, market demands, experience, training and education.
