Headhunter Support Specialist with Movement Search & Delivery

Movement Search & Delivery is working with a client to help them establish their Stormwater business in the coastal North Carolina market and is seeking a senior technical leader to build and expand a stormwater-focused practice. This individual will be responsible for developing local client relationships, securing municipal work, and eventually assembling and managing a small team of engineers.

The position will focus on Stormwater and sits within a broader water-focused division that supports both federal and local government clients. The new hire will play a key role in extending Stormwater services into a region where the company has strong brand recognition but no established water resources team.

• Lead stormwater-related consulting efforts for municipal and public-sector clients.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Oversee financial performance for the local group, including forecasting and resource planning.
• Recruit, mentor, and supervise a small team as the workload grows.
• Collaborate with senior leaders in other offices to pursue opportunities and share resources.
• Serve as the technical lead on stormwater design, modeling, and related infrastructure projects.

• MUST BE a Professional Engineer license
• Strong technical foundation in stormwater engineering
• Experience working with local governments on capital improvement or regulatory-driven projects.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with clients and contribute to business development.
• Prior experience managing projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Suitable for someone currently operating at a senior project manager level and ready to step into a leadership role.
