The PositionTerraphase is seeking a part‑time Senior Hydrogeologist to support and lead water resources and hydrogeologic investigations. This role is intended to provide senior‑level technical expertise, mentoring, and project support, with a focus on groundwater supply development, aquifer testing, modeling, and regulatory coordination. The position is well suited for an experienced professional seeking a flexible schedule while remaining engaged in meaningful technical work.
The Role- Provide senior‑level technical leadership on groundwater and water supply projects
- Design and review groundwater supply investigations and aquifer testing programs
- Support groundwater flow modeling efforts including MODFLOW
- Provide technical oversight of drilling programs in unconsolidated and bedrock formations
- Support water allocation permitting and regulatory coordination
- Review hydrogeologic data and technical reports
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to staff
- Support proposal development and client communication as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- Professional Geologist license or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of hydrogeology and groundwater experience
- Strong background in water supply development and aquifer testing
- Experience with groundwater modeling and interpretation
- Ability to work independently and provide senior‑level judgment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Municipal and industrial water supply projects
- Aquifer Storage and Recovery projects
- PFAS and groundwater quality evaluations
- Regulatory permitting and agency coordination
- Technical mentoring and training
Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000 USD
