Aboutthe role
- The Senior Quality Control Analyst at our newly formed Mortgage Insurance Company will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of our mortgage insurance processes. This position involves conducting thorough reviews, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance our quality control framework.
- This person in this position will manage defects and potential defects discovered during quality control reviews and communicate these to lender partners, work to ensure accurate results are reported, notify management of any trending concerns or issues with a particular partner and act as a subject matter expert to more junior level employees.
- Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of mortgage insurance files to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks and areas for improvement in the quality control process.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and compliance, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality control findings, trends, and recommendations for senior management.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior quality control analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Additional years of on the job experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, underwriting or compliance within the mortgage insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage insurance products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in quality control software and tools.
