The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic exams in an ambulatory setting, working independently or alongside physicians to support high-quality patient care. This role involves preparing patients, operating x‑ray equipment, and ensuring accurate, high-quality imaging while maintaining a safe and compassionate patient experience.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures and provide attentive, age‑appropriate care throughout the exam.
- Operate x‑ray equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images following established protocols.
- Work independently in diagnostic rooms, adapting to varying clinical situations and patient needs.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, safety standards, anatomy, and positioning techniques.
- Accurately process, label, and manage images within the EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
- Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure timely, seamless patient care.
- Maintain a safe environment while upholding all regulatory, quality, and infection‑control standards.
- Associate Degree — Preferred
- Graduate of an ARRT‑approved Radiography Program — Required
- One year of experience in diagnostic radiology — Preferred
- NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department:
Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R) - NH Medical Group Office:
Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R)
- Registry‑eligible with ARRT in Radiography upon hire
- ARRT Radiography certification obtained within 6 months of hire (if applicable)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, radiation safety, and imaging techniques
- Ability to modify care based on patient age and clinical needs
- Analytical and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Adaptability in fast‑paced clinical environments with varied procedures
