Mental Health, Substance Abuse Counselor
Join our dedicated team , focused on providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders to join our Men's and Women's Programs. We aim to support clients in building resilience and recovery through tailored therapeutic approaches, within a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled environment.
ResponsibilitiesClient Therapy & Counseling:Conduct comprehensive assessments to create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
Provide one-on-one and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Facilitate group sessions focused on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
Respond to crises or emergencies during the course of treatment.Therapeutic Collaboration:Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimum client outcomes.
Build relationships with referring professionals and make appropriate referrals.Documentation & Compliance:Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, and all records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research and best practices in substance abuse treatment.
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical guidelines.Professional Development & Training:Attend mandatory training sessions and complete required training modules.
Participate in an on-call rotation schedule as needed.Additional Duties:Work closely with Clinical Leadership for effective communication and collaboration.
Education:~ Master's Degree in a human service field with eligibility or licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor ( Licensed preferred, but eligible for licensure) may be considered.Experience:~
Experience with young adults in a progressive or experiential treatment setting.~ Group counseling and experiential therapy experience preferred.Skills:~ Strong ability to assess, interpret, and respond to client needs effectively.~ Proficient in Google Workspace.~ Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
