Responsibilities

Duties include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the Department of Computer Science, with a focus on the BS in Computer Science or BS in Information Technology. Online teaching may be required for the position.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree or other terminal post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework closely related to the discipline to be eligible for employment in this position.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Teaching experience in the areas of computer science, IT, cloud computing, Linux administration, computer organization, or computer networks.
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of Computer Science offers degree programs including B.S. in Computer Science; B.S. in Intelligent Systems Engineering; B.S. in Software Engineering; interdisciplinary B.S. in Cybersecurity; interdisciplinary B.A. in Digital Arts; interdisciplinary B.S. in Information Technology; interdisciplinary M.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems; interdisciplinary M.S. in Data Science; undergraduate minors in Game Engineering, Digital Arts, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Computer Science.

The department currently has twenty-nine full-time faculty members ().

College/School Information

The College of Science and Engineering offers multiple bachelor’s and master’s degrees and some doctoral degrees. It provides instruction and research opportunities in information technology, data science, computer science, mathematics, pre-engineering, and engineering, with interdepartmental programs in information technology, cybersecurity, and digital arts. Post-baccalaureate certificate options are also available. CSE students work with distinguished faculty on research and development projects.
