Program Associate III

Position:
Program Associate III (SHRA Temporary) University:
University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW)

Hours:

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday (20–29 hours/week) Pay: $20 per hour Type: SHRA Temporary – single incumbent, temporary assignment with potential extension (maximum 11 consecutive months, followed by a 31‑day break). Employment is not considered permanent and does not accrue paid leave. Temporary employees are subject to Affordable Care Act guidelines. Final date to receive applications:
December 11, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Support learning outcomes assessment activities by preparing, analyzing, and visualizing student learning data.
  • Assist with data workflows, maintain data accuracy, and produce clear, accessible reporting products for stakeholders.
  • Clean, organize, and manage student learning datasets using Excel, SQL, and SPSS.
  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and similar visualization tools.
  • Create data visualizations and summaries for reports and presentations.
  • Ensure data quality, documentation, and alignment with assessment standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL, IBM SPSS, and Tableau (or comparable data visualization tools).
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of social research methodologies, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high accuracy in reporting information.
  • Interest in applying data science and social research methodologies in an educational assessment context.
  • Social science degrees (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminology) are acceptable.
