Technician Manager; AV & IT

Position: Technician Manager (AV & IT)

The Technician Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the technical team (installation and service techs) delivering exceptional AV and IT service installation and support. This role includes managing and maintaining network and system infrastructures and scheduling service calls.

Hours & Location

Mon-Fri 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Team Management

• Supervise, train, and mentor the technical team
• Hire, onboard, and evaluate technicians
• Maintain safety protocols and company policies

Tickets & Scheduling

• Review incoming service tickets, contact clients, and schedule service calls

Systems & Networks

• Maintain performance and reliability of the company network
• Manage Windows server backups, patches, and security
• Implement cybersecurity measures
• Support hardware and software deployment

Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide support to internal teams and external customers
• Handle AV and IT service requests (computers, servers, networks, and AV devices)

Reporting

• Build and maintain reports on system performance, ticketing metrics, security compliance, and business analytics

Requirements & Abilities

• Leadership experience managing technical teams
• Experience in IT, AV technology, and ticketing systems
• Preferred certifications:
  CompTIA, CCNA, or AV related certifications
• Travel to client sites may be required
• Ability to lift +50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass NC Alarm Board background check (fingerprint/drug panel)

Port City Sound's Contribution to You
