Information Technology (IT) Manager Position Location :
Full-time, On-Site in Wilmington, NC Daily Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day IT operations for networks, servers, endpoints, and communications systems
* Maintain secure system configurations, patching, and performance monitoring
* Oversee IT asset lifecycle management, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal
* Ensure all software and systems are properly licensed, supported, and compliant
* Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, 32 CFR 117, and other applicable requirements
* Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and risk registers
* Support regulatory inspections and audits under DOE, NRC, and/or DoD oversight
* Document security incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
* Recommend improvements to IT governance, procurement, and configuration management processes
* Monitor system health, risk posture, and compliance status, escalating issues as appropriate
* Ensure configuration changes and policy updates are reviewed and coordinated with the Information Security Programs Manager (ISPM)
* Serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact for IT systems
* Maintain effective, timely communication with regulatory agencies and stakeholders
* Build strong partnerships across technical, security, and leadership teams Required Experience & Expertise in the following areas :
* U.S. Citizenship (required)
* Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance (required)
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, or a security-related field (or equivalent experience)
* 8+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers, SANs, and workstations
* 5+ years of experience administering IT programs supporting regulatory inspections and compliance documentation
* Strong working knowledge of NIST 800-series standards (800-53, 800-82, 800-171) and CNSSI 1253
* Basic information security certification (e.g., Security+ )
* Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or Security-related field
* Advanced security certifications ( CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CCSP, CEH , etc.)
* Experience working under 10 CFR 95 and NRC classified matter protection programs
* Background supporting NRC-regulated or DOE-classified environments Required Clearance :
