Flexner Houser is seeking a full-time Global Bilingual Legal Support Specialist to be the dedicated point of contact for Spanish‑speaking clients after the initial intake is complete. This role is designed to remove the day‑to‑day bilingual communication burden from attorneys, increase consistency and responsiveness in client follow‑up, and strengthen internal organization and case flow. You will report directly to Diane and work closely with the paralegal and administrative team.
What you’ll do:
- Bilingual Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish‑speaking clients, handling inbound and outbound calls, follow‑ups, status updates, and clarifications, while avoiding legal advice and documenting communication clearly.
- Case Follow‑Up and Coordination: Organize information coming out of intake, track outstanding items, drive follow‑ups to completion, and elevate issues when legal judgment is required.
- Legal Administrative Support: Support attorneys and paralegals with document preparation, e‑filings as assigned, and backend case organization with high accuracy and clean documentation.
- Proactive Communication Expectations: Provide frequent, professional updates (the firm wants over‑communication, not “radio silence”), maintain polished written English in emails and notes, and keep clients reassured and informed.
What we’re looking for:
- Bilingual Spanish and English: Native or near‑native Spanish strongly preferred, plus strong written English for client updates and internal documentation.
- Client‑fronting experience: Legal experience is a plus, not required. Strong fits may come from law firms, legal assistant/paralegal support, medical offices, medical records or lien departments, or other client‑service admin roles.
- Professional communication: You can explain next steps clearly, keep calm with emotional clients, and never blur the line into legal advice.
- Process‑driven and reliable: You follow established workflows, take ownership, and you don’t need babysitting to finish follow‑ups.
- Low ego, high follow‑through: You can adapt to how the firm operates, even if you’ve done it differently elsewhere.
