Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director for Project SOAR, a vital initiative dedicated to supporting Veterans with disabilities and First Responders. The ideal candidate will lead program development, oversee daily operations, and foster strong relationships with community partners. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing programs that promote independence, social integration, and well-being for participants.
The Program Director will be responsible for ensuring program excellence through effective management, leadership, and strategic planning.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Project SOAR initiatives aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
- Oversee program development activities, ensuring services meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including supervising staff, volunteers, and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, community agencies, and funding bodies to promote collaboration and resource sharing.
- Oversee administrative functions such as budgeting, reporting, compliance documentation, and program documentation to ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership in staff supervision, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor program outcomes and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance participant engagement and satisfaction.
- Advocate for all Veterans with disabilities and First Responders by promoting awareness and fostering inclusive community environments.
- Preference for Veteran or First Responder experience
- Proven management experience with a strong background in program development and implementation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health principles related to the military and specifically to Veterans with disabilities.
- Experience in supervising teams and managing staff performance effectively.
- Strong relationship management skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including families, community organizations, and funding agencies.
- Administrative expertise in budgeting, reporting, compliance standards, and organizational policies.
- Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of program management best practices within social services or behavioral health sectors is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams and engage community partners effectively.
