Overview

Warehouse Worker role at Empire Distributors, Inc.. Temperature Controlled Warehouse, Sunday-Thursday nights. Base pay range: $20.75/hr - $20.75/hr

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Safely drives and operates forklift equipment.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Selects, stocks, loads, and/or unloads products as ordered by customers.
• Accurately and efficiently fills requisitions by retrieving required products per the customer order.
• Sorts and places materials or items on conveyors, racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined criteria (size, type, style, color, or product code).
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing/shipping.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Loads trucks according to wave sequence and prepares loads leaving during production and the next day.
• Returns products to appropriate areas and handles opening boxes and containers as needed.
• Repacks breakage and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Assists with end-of-shift cleanup and checks with a manager before leaving.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Forklift experience preferred.
