Wilmington Machinery is a well‑established manufacturer specializing in large‑scale low‑pressure injection molding machinery. As part of our expansion into contract molding, we are adding new team members to operate and maintain our growing fleet of injection molding machines.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Injection Molding Press Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain production of high‑quality molded parts. This role is critical to ensuring our machines run efficiently and products meet strict quality standards.

Starting Shift: 1st shift only (Monday–Friday)

Future Plans:
Expansion to 2nd and 3rd shifts — candidates should be open to future shift assignments as production grows.

Operate and monitor injection molding machines in accordance with production schedules.

Load and unload molds, start and stop machines, and adjust process settings to maintain quality.

Perform in‑process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Record production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately.

Perform basic preventive maintenance, including cleaning molds, removing flash, and checking fluid levels.

Safely handle raw materials, resins, and additives.

Communicate machine or quality issues to supervisors or maintenance promptly.

Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred; injection molding experience a plus.

Ability to read and understand work orders, production drawings, and basic measurement tools.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
