Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Surgery Unit with a focus on medical-surgical (MS/Tele) patients. The ideal candidate will work within a dynamic team environment and provide quality patient care for various surgical and trauma cases.
Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the surgical unit, adhering to established protocols.

• Monitor and manage patient vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes in patient acuity.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood product administration.

• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy procedures, ensuring proper line management.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

• Assist in special procedures and manage surgical drains effectively.

• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical unit experience required.

• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:6.

• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH certifications preferred.

• Experience with trauma cases preferred.

• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
