Do you enjoy working outdoors and being on the green? The City is seeking a Part-Time Golf Cart Attendant to assist golfers and keep carts clean, safe, and ready to go.

You will provide customer service as it relates to golf cart maintenance and golf course duties at the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course.

Note:

Position is less than 20 hours per week and requires selected candidate to be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Remove all trash from carts.
  • Wash or rinse carts as needed. Periodically, the carts will be detailed and waxed.
  • Maintain a clean work environment in the cart barn.
  • Report any maintenance/operating issues or damage to the pro shop staff.
  • Assist with staging carts for shotgun start tournaments.
  • Booking tee times, and processing sales of green fees, carts, and other merchandise in the pro shop.
  • Lock the cart barn gate after all carts have been accounted for at the day's end.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and six months of golf course or relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid US Drivers license.
  • CPR/First Aid and AED certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather elements for continuous periods of time.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Notes
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a post-offer driving history, drug screen, Personal and Professional Reference Checks, Fingerprint-based state and national criminal record check.
  • This position has been identified to interact with children and must comply with NC G.S. 153A-94.2(b) requires an applicant for employment that "works with children in any capacity, must require the applicant, if offered the position, to be subject to a criminal history record check conducted by the SBI." These checks must be conducted in accordance with G.S. 143B-1209.26 (Download PDF reader), the statute which authorizes the SBI to provide a fingerprint-based state and national criminal record check to cities and counties.
