Title: Research Tech III – Computer Science (Pool)
Type: Temporary (SHRA)
Salary: $12.50 per hour

Work involves conducting complex experiments according to adapted and outlined procedures and techniques used in a specific research laboratory. Responsibilities include planning methods and techniques for physical, chemical, and biological tests; carrying out procedures; recording results; and preliminary interpretation of results. Work requires independent judgment, literature review, and adaptation of procedures to suit experiments.

Minimum Education: BS degree preferred in a field related to research.
Experience: Prior research experience desirable.
Certifications: None required.

• The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation.
• Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31‑day break from employment.
• Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave.
• Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
