Retail Sales Representative - Lighting Design Center

Overview

Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service for our lighting design center. You will advise homeowners and contractors on lighting fixtures and finishes, work with senior sales staff to learn the products, and help customers select and purchase items for homes or businesses in the Wilmington, NC area.

We have established clients and walk-in traffic to help you gain new customers. We provide guidance on cultivating repeat sales opportunities and may provide active sales leads.

• Greet and assist customers to select lighting fixtures and custom fans
• Provide accurate information on product features, pricing, and after-sales services
• Answer customers' questions about specific products/services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Cross-sell products
• Manage returns of merchandise
• Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Stay up-to-date with new products

• Prior work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role is helpful
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Basic math skills
• Broad communication skills, capable of building relationships
• High school degree
