Position Overview

The HVAC Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and promoting heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions throughout the Cape Fear Region. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to identify customer needs and deliver customized HVAC solutions. The ideal candidate is driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based sales environment.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new residential and/or commercial HVAC sales opportunities.
  • Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate systems or services.
  • Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and financing options to clients.
  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and internal service teams.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build long-term customer relationships and maintain a positive brand reputation within the Wilmington area.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales cycle, ensuring smooth communication between customers, technicians, and office staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after installation.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in HVAC sales or related technical/solution-based sales (home services, building products, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and IAQ systems (training can be provided).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, equipment specifications, and load calculations (preferred).
  • Comfortable working independently, managing schedules, and traveling locally within the Wilmington region.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
