You’ve built the relationships. Earned the trust. Found ways to keep customers happy while growing their business. Ready to bring those skills to a company gaining momentum?
Next Play Jobs is recruiting an Account Manager for a growing environmental services company in Wilmington. Following another acquisition, the company is expanding its team—and looking for someone who can help turn that growth into lasting customer relationships.
You’ll own an established book of commercial and industrial accounts, with approximately 80% of your focus on customer retention and 20% on new business. Expect regular customer meetings, meaningful ownership, and opportunities to increase your earnings through results.
How you'll make your mark:
- Become the person customers call first. Get face-to-face, learn their business, and build relationships that keep them coming back.
- Turn renewals into wins. Lead confident conversations about pricing, contracts, and the value customers receive.
- Grow what you own. Spot opportunities to add services, solve more problems, and turn strong relationships into stronger revenue.
- Make the save. When a customer's frustrated, take ownership and team up with Operations to get the relationship back on track.
- Find your next win. Build connections across your territory and bring new customers into the mix.
- Stay a step ahead. Use your CRM to plan your next move, follow through on commitments, and keep opportunities moving toward a close.
What sets you up to win:
- You know how to grow a book of business. You've managed recurring B2B accounts and understand what keeps customers loyal—and ready to do more business with you.
- You have wins to talk about. Saved an at-risk account? Secured a renewal? Expanded a customer's services? We want to hear those stories.
- You're comfortable talking money. You can explain the value, navigate pricing conversations, and confidently ask for the business.
- You make things happen. You plan your week, follow through on commitments, and pursue opportunities without waiting for someone to hand you a to-do list.
- You enjoy getting face-to-face. You ask good questions, learn how customers operate, and turn those conversations into solutions that make a difference.
