ResponsibilitiesAs a Coax Splicer Trainee
, you will develop new skills, work in a safe-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
- Work alongside crews in a construction environment, assisting with physical tasks such as:
- Digging
- Pulling and placing cable
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. consistently on own
- You will learn and develop skillsets such as:
- Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
- Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
- Utilize RF Meters and TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometers)
- Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
- Work in outdoor utility construction sites
About You:
- Safety is a part of your day-to-day with a track record of completing high quality work
- You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
- You are looking for long-term projects
- You have experience in CATV installation or other construction, telecom experience
- You are comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck outdoors
- You are willing and able to work overtime as needed and on-call on a rotating schedule
- You have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record last 3 years (preferably a CDL)
- You are eager to lean, with a good attitude, and help your team succeed
MOS Codes B05A, 3D157, 6423, B05A, and 5699 relate well to this position.
