Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, radiologic technologist performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Technologists are trained in multifaceted services such as Fluoroscopy, OR, ERCP, Digital Radiography, Portable X‑ray equipment, Dexa Scans, etc. and demonstrate competencies annually. This position provides maximum benefit to the patient by producing quality images with the lowest possible radiation exposure.

The role is responsible for performing quality radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with department policies and procedures, working effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complying with infection prevention procedures, keeping accurate records, ensuring radiation safety, educating students, orienting new employees, quality assurance, caring for equipment, and other duties as assigned.

The technologist must meet the minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio and maintain ARRT and ODH licensure.

• Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Required)
• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Ohio Department of Health - Ohio Radiologic License (Required)
• ARRT – Radiographer (Required)

• Demonstrates ongoing CBE's. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's. Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures.
• Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well‑being of the department. Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members.
• Demonstrates the ability to consistently produce and evaluate diagnostic radiographs for radiological interpretation.
• Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork. Work is completed before submitting it.
• Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure. Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
