QA Inspector II

Summary

Inspects final products as well as components that go into the final products at various stages of the production process, including receiving inspection. Responsible for following documentation requirements, preparing inspection records, writing Non Conformance reports and other quality documentation as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Inspects raw materials, parts, component, and finished product for compliance with dimensional and performance specifications using established inspection plans.
• Documents inspection observations and reports non-conformances in the computer system.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Availability for shift work and overtime as needed
• Demonstrated ability independently read, comprehend and execute work instructions as written
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld measuring equipment and with working knowledge of at least 1 advanced measurement system (e.g., CMM's, optical comparators)
• Working knowledge of the ERP computer system.
• Ability to safely lift and transport up to 50 lbs. over short distances
• Close vision (corrected or uncorrected) with peripheral, depth perception and color vision capability
• Demonstrated proficiency with forklift operation
• Three years of on-the-job experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• High school level reading, writing and comprehension proficiency
• Inspector 1 math skills
• Proficient with statistical sampling using an inspector's rule
• Ability to read, understand, and analyze product requirements against the actual product for purposes of evaluation.
