Heavy Maintenance Aircraft Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a Heavy Maintenance Painter to apply expertise in automotive and aircraft painting. The role requires working on large aluminum surfaces and adhering to FAA regulations.

• Apply finish coats using epoxy, polyurethane paints and fiberglass repairs.
• Prepare large aluminum surfaces with seam sealing, chemical treatment.
• Maintain paint application equipment and tool maintenance.
• Work with minimal supervision in a maintenance environment.
• Travel to off-site maintenance sites as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of finish coat experience in automotive or aircraft painting.
• Experience with epoxy, polyurethane paints and fiberglass repairs.
• Experience in paint preparation of large aluminum surfaces to include seam sealing and chemical treatment.
• Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations.
• Must provide own tools.

• Airframe license.
• Prior hands-on paint and refinishing experience in a heavy maintenance environment.
• Prior experience at a FR Part 145 repair station.

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and support off-site maintenance.
• Must provide required tools.
• Eye/hand coordination and clear field of vision.
• Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in tight and confined spaces with respiratory equipment.
• Ability to bend, crawl, twist, sustain positions for extended periods.
• Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools.

Full-time, Entry level.
