Software Engineer
Air Transport International (ATI) is an experienced supplemental carrier headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, operating a worldwide fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 cargo and combi passenger aircraft. PurposeThe Systems Quality Engineer position manages and administers changes to ATI's Tech Ops primary software system (Maintenix) and related interfaces, supporting associated business process changes.
Responsibilities- Perform Maintenix Administrator functions.
- Create, lock, or deactivate user accounts in Maintenix and PRIME.
- Gather requirements from Maintenix users for system changes and potential bugs.
- Write report specifications, elevate software issues to vendors, test solutions, and communicate changes.
- Troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, and assist users with new software interfaces.
- Monitor data quality, identify entry errors, and correct entry procedures.
- Assist with data clean‑up projects and test system upgrades.
- Participate in the ATSG Maintenix Council with sister companies.
- Coordinate solutions with expert users to improve processes.
- Support software and processes for tablet usage by flight crews and maintenance.
- Support major IT projects, ensuring software systems meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and bugs in the primary software.
- Design, report, implement, and test solutions.
- Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to validate processes.
- Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the life cycle.
- Perform administrative functions for legacy and primary software.
- Lead and participate in requirements gathering, analysis, and testing.
- Implement process, interface, and software improvements.
- Monitor program/process changes related to company software systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree and 3 years related experience or High School Diploma and 10 years related experience.
- Pre‑employment drug screening and background check required.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office, Mobile IT Software, Apple iOS.
Job Skills
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally; valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Advanced software certifications or continued education in IT systems.
- Commercial airline experience.
- Experience with Maintenix, IDMR, LIDO, Ops++.
- Stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer and telephone.
- Comply with ATI attendance requirements.
- Light to moderate lifting.
