The OpportunityIn this dynamic role, you will lead end-to-end audit assignments for an impressive portfolio of clients, ranging from fast-growth SMEs and large private companies to international groups. Working closely with partners and managers, you will supervise audit teams on‑site and in the office, review junior work, and build direct, long‑term relationships with key client stakeholders. Backed by state-of-the-art cloud software and modern audit tech, this position offers high autonomy without the traditional corporate red tape.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements- Qualifications &
Experience:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist with imminent sign-off) with 3+ years’ experience within UK accountancy practice, with a significant focus on external audit. - Technical Mastery: Proven experience leading audits from planning through to completion under UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
- Team Supervision: Strong track record of supervising, briefing, and mentoring junior audit staff on-site and reviewing their work.
- Commercial & Client Focus: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to client management and query resolution.
- Base Salary & Bonus: £42,000 – £52,000 per annum (aligned with South Manchester / North West market rates, dependent on post-qualification experience), plus a performance-related bonus scheme.
