We are looking for a creative, commercially focused, analytical and forward-thinking Head of Campaigns to join the central marketing team at The Citation Group. You will own email campaigns and automations, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Leading a team of Campaign Executives with day‑to‑day contact with our Group Data team, you will provide cross‑functional recommendations and reporting and drive our email campaign performance across multiple brands. You will be accountable for the ongoing adoption, implementation and optimisation of our CRM, maximising our capabilities and driving efficiencies across the team.

With an eye for detail, you’ll manage weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting across our Group businesses – spotting opportunities and using facts to improve engagement and optimise our marketing and campaign activity. You will be full of ideas with a willingness to test and learn to optimise workflows using data, processes and analysis to inform tests, and to influence peers and senior stakeholders.

The

role
  • Ensure campaigns are executed according to the agreed plans and processes.
  • A passion for delivering sophisticated modern CRM at scale – personalisation and dynamic content through modern marketing automation technology.
  • CRM delivery and operations – campaign management, delivery, process design and ongoing governance.
  • Oversee the technology and data use by the Group marketing team.
  • Manage multiple marketing automation platforms, such as the website, eCommerce solution, review/approval software, content management, plus the integration with related technologies.
  • Develop the marketing data strategy so that the team as a whole has the necessary insights to build high‑performing campaigns.
  • Build processes that are scalable and drive time and cost efficiencies for future growth.
  • Manage data cleansing and research new ways to enrich data.
  • Manage analytics, reporting, and team dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Define the marketing objectives for each campaign.
  • Advise the Campaign Executives on builds, segmentation, and personas.
  • Educate the marketing team on technology processes and best practices.
  • Work closely with Group Channel leads and BU Marketing heads to deliver right place, right time campaigns.
  • Manage, develop, motivate and recruit an ambitious team and bring them on the journey with you to ensure you deliver across all KPIs.
About you
  • Strong experience in marketing with some experience in an operations or data focused role.
  • A love for all things marketing technology and obvious knowledge on latest trends and software.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms;
    Salesforce and Hub Spot an advantage.
  • Experience in data management, analytics and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong commercial awareness with results driven mentality.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines and projects running simultaneously.
  • Exceptional team management skills and ability to train/educate across systems in a digestible and easily actioned manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborating with people across a variety of levels.
  • Detail‑oriented, systematic, methodical and a can‑do attitude to see projects through to completion.
  • Experience delivering operational change and system integration with clear improvement
