The Construction Project Engineer will play a key role in the successful execution of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain hands‑on experience in project management and a foundational understanding of the construction process. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, providing critical support in project planning, coordination, and administration to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities- Project Documentation:
Manage all project‑related documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits, ensuring they are current, organized, and accessible to the team. - Submittals & RFIs:
Prepare, track, and process submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely responses and clear communication with the design team and subcontractors. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Assist the project team in developing and updating project schedules. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure material deliveries and work activities are aligned with the schedule. - Production Tracking:
Assist the Foreman/Superintendent on tracking production rates. - Contract Management:
Assist the project team in understanding the contractual requirements and creating tracking logs/checklists to ensure we are compliant for the duration of the project. - Cost Management:
Support cost control efforts by tracking labor, material, and equipment costs. Assist in the review and processing of subcontractor payment applications and invoices. - Quality Control:
Conduct periodic on‑site inspections to ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. - Meetings & Communication:
Attend project meetings, take detailed meeting minutes, and distribute them to all relevant parties. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on administrative and technical matters. - Safety Support:
Assist the Superintendent in promoting and enforcing the project's safety plan and protocols. - Change Management:
Help prepare and track potential orders by documenting scope changes, schedule impacts, and cost implications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel 25–50% to multiple project sites nationwide.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam).
- Prior internship experience in a construction‑related role.
- Knowledge of construction industry terminology, procedures, and safety regulations.
