We are hiring for:
Therapist for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing
.
Pay: $50,000-$55,000
.

Responsibilities
  • Provides comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations, and medically necessary outpatient therapy services to deaf and hard of hearing adults and children with mental health, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse challenges.
  • Rely on experience, knowledge, and education with limited direction to provide quality services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations.
  • Facilitates clinical intakes and assessments for adults and children with a wide variety of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges.
  • Provides individual and group therapy services to promote optimum mental health and overall wellbeing.
  • Establishes and maintains professional boundaries and a non-threatening therapeutic environment.
  • Prepares/obtains correspondence and reports to implement effective assessments, treatment plans and therapy services.
  • Serves as a member of the QA Audit Team to review various charts for accuracy.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings and provides crisis intervention and on-call support as scheduled.
  • Coaches and mentors team members; coordinates clinical team meetings to enhance knowledge and ensure quality provision of integrated services.
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and documents in accordance with HIPAA and applicable laws.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, Sociology, or related field with at least two years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse clinical services experience; or a Master’s Degree in one of the listed fields with at least two years of such experience.
  • Licensure:
    Psychologist (PhD-level) or provisional/licensed equivalents such as LPA, LCSW, LMFT, LPC;
    Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric nursing certification as an APRN may be considered.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with the age and population served.
  • Fluent in sign language.
  • Valid driver’s license with personal vehicle coverage (if required for providing transportation).

  • Name checks in registries (OIG, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
  • Drug testing.
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required).
  • If driving is required, provide proof of driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle.
