Higher Heights Family Services Inc., a licensed behavioral health agency located in Wilson, North Carolina, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to provide outpatient mental health and substance use therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. The therapist will deliver evidence-based treatment in an office, community, or telehealth setting while maintaining compliance with all state and Medicaid requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, family, and group counseling to clients diagnosed with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with NC Medicaid and DHHS standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with 10A NCAC 27G and agency policy.
- Collaborate with Qualified Professionals, Associate Professionals, and community providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and clinical supervision as required.
- Deliver culturally competent, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
- Ensure all services align with ASAM and DSM-5 diagnostic standards and ethical practice guidelines.
- Must hold an active North Carolina license as one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). - Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience providing outpatient or community-based mental health services.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with emotional, behavioral, or substance use disorders preferred.
- Familiarity with NC Medicaid documentation, ASAM criteria, and person-centered planning required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA standards.
This is a part-time position, approximately 15–25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available (daytime, evening, or hybrid telehealth options). Compensation is based on experience and licensure level.
Work EnvironmentServices are provided in the outpatient office setting, via telehealth, or occasionally in the community. The position requires minimal travel within Wilson and surrounding areas.
