Schedule: 7:30‑4pm, 8‑4:30pm, 9‑5:30pm
OverviewAs a Medical Assistant, you are a non‑licensed health care provider who, under the direction and supervision of a licensed health care provider, delivers direct and indirect patient care. You play an integral role in maintaining patient well‑being and contribute to the success of patients, physicians and licensed health care providers.
Responsibilities- Conduct pre‑visit planning (PVP) and work reports for gaps and delinquencies, including patient outreach and scheduling for follow‑up.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, history, and screenings; report deviations promptly to a licensed staff member.
- Perform and interpret EKGs, attach monitor leads, and operate equipment when directed; report problems or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Review patient medication lists, pending refills and provider orders.
- Collect specimens and conduct POCT; label and send specimens appropriately.
- Demonstrate competency in phlebotomy, including correct labeling and ordering of lab tests via the computer.
- Assist providers and nursing personnel with clinical procedures and patient education.
- Restock medical supplies, maintain linen supplies, and manage waste containers.
- Check calibration and cleanliness of test equipment; prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Order clinical supplies, complete patient forms, submit prior authorizations, and mail provider communications.
- Assemble provider packets (e.g., ADHD) and support non‑clinical tasks such as medical record abstraction, quality assurance data collection, phone answering, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, referral processing, mail sorting, payment collection, and charge entry.
- Provide patient escort services to lab and radiology; manage physical packets to patients.
- Support My Care Education and patient sign‑ups; maintain non‑clinical office supplies.

Preferred Qualifications- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience in pre‑hospital care activities or acute/critical care preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills highly desired.
- One year experience with frail, elderly population preferred for Elder
ONE Employment.
License and certification requirements will be specified per department program. Continuing education may be required.
Physical RequirementsM - Medium Work:
Exert 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally, 10‑25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
$17.85 – $19.50 per hour
