Position Information

This position supports the Mission, Values, and Vision of Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc.. The Outreach Enrollment Associate promotes services of Carolina Family Health Centers with the goal of increasing services to high-risk, low income, and minority individuals. In addition,

Network with local agencies and organizations, participate in health fairs and health promotion activities.

Provide education / information related to the Affordable Care Act, to prospective and current patients.

Determine individual eligibility and offer appropriate insurance options as well as completing enrollment for individuals and families.

Execute field-work eligibility assessments and other related outreach activities in the community.

THIS POSITION OFFERS A 20-HOUR WORKWEEK, SOME WEEKENDS, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, PAID TIME OFF, 401K RETIREMENT PLAN, BI-WEEKLY PAY.

Experience Requirements / Minimum Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish (speaking and writing).

Basic computer skills.

Familiarity with the Latino communities in Wilson, Nash, and Edgecombe counties.

Must pass the certification process for enrollment specialist.

Education Required

High school diploma or GED.

Hours of Work

Monday - Friday, 5pm-10pm, with occasional Saturday and/or Sunday. Must have flexibility with schedule.

Physical Requirements

Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.
Frequent computer work required.
Must have transportation available during the workday for frequent local travel within and out of the community.

As a Medicaid/Medicare facility, Carolina Family Health Centers must comply with the Federal COVID-19 vaccination mandates. Therefore, as of January 27, 2022, new and existing employees to have received, at a minimum, the first dose of the primary series (Moderna or Pfizer) or a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Janssen), have requested a lawful exemption, or been granted a lawful exemption.
