The Patient Financial Services Director is responsible for the oversight, leadership and direction of Receivables Management for all inpatient, outpatient and physician services provided by Wilson Medical Center. This position develops, leads and implements processes and strategies for the entire accounts receivable claims processing, and credit and collections functions including insurance and self-pay collections, denial management and follow up, customer services, EDI processing which consists of claim editing, claim submission, cash posting and credit resolution.

The Director develops and implements policies and procedures that guide or support the service, and facilitate and drive continuous process improvement. The Director works in a highly collaborative manner with (matrixed/linked/home team) departments interacting extensively with both internal and external customers including but not limited to Patient Access, ancillary services, Directors, Hospital administration, third party payers, regulatory agencies, other health care institutions, vendors, patients and families to build relationships and achieve results.

The Director serves as a key promoter of Patient Receivables, to meet and exceed the needs of its customers and; champion change; demonstrate financial acumen; set and achieve shared outcomes; facilitate a collaborative patient receivables team that provides customer
-friendly services to patients, payers and other customers.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.
• Five (5) years of acute care hospital or health system billing/collection experience
