Essential Functions- Adhere to all health and safety policies, GMPs, and PPE requirements while in the warehouse or production areas.
- Maintain food quality and safety per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
- Process all incoming parts requisitions in SAP with the Maintenance Manager and Mechanics.
- Develop expertise in parts coordination, CMMS utilization, and effective maintenance parts knowledge.
- Collaborate with plant groups, suppliers, OEM representatives, contractors, and safety support vendors.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost.
- Maintain 100% accountability for the parts room—receive, sort, and catalogue all incoming and outgoing parts.
- Maintain inventory at designated min/max levels and store items in an orderly, accessible manner.
- Maintain records of parts, supplies, and materials, and submit orders to the PO writer ensuring quality, quantity, and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with Maintenance on new and upcoming projects that require parts.
- Communicate parts delivery status and lead time to requisitioners and schedule projects with the Maintenance Planner.
- Kit parts for planned project work for Maintenance personnel.
- Assist in monitoring daily, weekly, yearly PM programs and maintain the filing system for Maintenance documents and records.
- Experience in Food/Beverage Manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work within a budget.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in an organized manner, given limited time frames and attention to all details.
- Comfortable working independently and showing initiative.
- Mechanical Aptitude:
Knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools. - Preventative Maintenance:
Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures. - Critical Thinking:
Evaluate problems, identify potential solutions, and make decisions. - Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. - Ownership:
Eager to take ownership of responsibilities; think independently and excel in the role. - Teamwork:
Work collaboratively in a team environment. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Business Administration or related degree preferred. - 3+ years maintenance parts room experience preferred.
- Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight, and holidays. Overtime scheduled as needed.
- Fast‑paced production plant environment with numerous moving parts, noise levels requiring hearing protection, and temperatures that can be very hot or relatively cold. Structured and supervised with clear targets and schedules to meet.
