Manual Machinist

Our Client is an expert fabrication and welding service provider based in Wilson NC. They are looking for a Manual Machinist to join the team and assist with equipment operations for the machining department.

Job Responsibilities - - Operate and maintain manual machine tools: lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.

- Set up machines with proper feeds and speeds based on materials
- Interpret blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, and verbal instructions
- Assemble machined components to final specifications
- Follow safety procedures and obtain supervisor approval before machining
- Communicate equipment issues and participate in maintenance when needed

Job Requirements - - Must provide and accurately use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) - Must have setup tools including parallels, clamps, wrenches, test indicators
- Ownership of a machinist handbook is required
